Rose City Evangelical Church seeks to EXALT our Savior, EDIFY the saved, and EVANGELIZE the lost.  We are a dispensational church in the Alexandria area that looks to teach God’s Word exegetically. This is verse by verse Bible teaching. We understand that the Bible offers salvation freely as a gift and we are then secure in Christ. We are located at the crossroads of County Road 14NE and 66 NE.  We have been in Rose City for over 130 years and serve the communities of Browerville, Parkers Prairie, Eagle Bend, Carlos, Miltona and Alexandria.  We have a very active ladies fellowship and quilting group and a men’s bi-weekly study group.  This school year we have a Friday night Bible class for 12 yr old thru high school as well as a youth group. Our services are a mixture of contemporary and traditional and offer something for each person in worship and praise.

 

Pastor Eric Johnson is originally from Roseau, MN and has called to the ministry of Rose City church in March of 2022.  His wife Shannon is from Sauk Centre, MN and they have been married for 19 years.  They have two children Natalie 17 and Henry 16.   “We are are so thankful to be part of this community…I love the church family and we pray that we will grow in God’s grace together!”

“When is your church service? “ At 10:00am on Sunday Morning we begin our service. The church service begins with singing and a welcome to the church family and any visitors. There is a time of special music and prayer and typically the teaching message starts around 10:30 and can be seen online as well.

“What is an Evangelical Free Church? Starting in the late 1800s, European missionaries and Bible teachers begin planting churches in America. A couple of these Scandinavian groups agreed in the 1950s to merge and this Protestant denomination emphasizes evangelical (Gospel-focused, Bible-centered) beliefs and free (autonomous, non-state-controlled) church governance, uniting independent congregations with a shared commitment to making disciples and spreading Christianity.

“Is there a youth group or kid’s program?” Yes. We have a vibrant youth program here at the church in Rose City. We have a Sunday morning children’s church for 5 year old to 12 year old. We have a Friday evening Bible class for teenagers and young adults with great discussions and lessons. We have once a month Friday game night where youth from the local communities of Eagle Bend, Osakis, Parkers Prairie, Alexandria, Milton, Browerville and other areas enjoy both indoor and outdoor games included with a devotional time.
